Ramallah is a safe place that you can walk at night. I can recommend nice restaurants as Orjuwan and Darna. Dont miss Chili & Chili for their amazing hamburger. Sangria & Zamn are nice cafe shops that you can spend your time.
In Palestine, ILS (Israeli New Shekel) is used as currency. Off days are common for Palestine and Israel. Fridays and Saturdays.
During Ramadan time in Palestine, most of the restaurants are closed. You can go to Zamn cafe shop.
You may find shops that are selling alcohol in the old city of Ramallah which is referred as Christian region. Try going out to Orjuwan on Thursday nights.
If you are staying in Ramallah and want to travel to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, you need to take your passport with you. If you dont have a car, then take a taxi to Qalandiyah checkpoint. This will cost you around 30-35 ILS. Then you will walk through the checkpoint security and be asked to show your visa and entrance stamp. They dont stamp anything and let you pass the checkpoint. After the checkpoint, you will see the buses just in front of the checkpoint which are going to Jerusalem. Take the bus, will cost you around 7 ILS, taking you to Jerusalem. Last station is around Damascus Gate. If you want to continue to Tel Aviv, then walk through and ask for Sherut. Sheruts are small buses that are travelling between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv operating 7 days / 24 hours. This trip costs you 33 ILS.
Be careful about checkpoints. As Qalandiyah and Hizma are the most preferred checkpoints, sometimes you may be waited on the queue around 45 minutes. Especially in the mornings and after work hours. Sometimes, checkpoints may be closed and you need to move to the other one. There are many checkpoints which can be discovered
In order to pass these checkpoints from West Bank to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv side by car, your car needs to have a yellow colored plate. If so, you may pass. If you have a green plate, then this car can not pass the checkpoints. Thats why, with most of these taxis, you can not pass the checkpoints. You can get off and pass on foot.
